Ford Performance’s popular Aluminator crate engine has taken another step forward with this 2024 Mustang GT 5.0L Coyote version featuring advanced technologies like direct and port fuel injection as well as Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing all packed into a lightweight plasma transferred wire arc spray aluminum engine block.

Mahle forged pistons and Manley H-beam rods are also included, along with Ford Performance camshafts which balance high-rpm power with civilized driving experience. Unfortunately, however, vehicle harness and PCM are not.

Aluminator 5.2 NA

Ford Performance Aluminator 5.2 XS long block for Gen 3 Coyotes features the ultimate cross-plane crankshaft long block design and boasts 580 horsepower throughout its RPM range for an engaging driving experience. Complete power package including Ford Performance SF intake and M-6017-504V Mustang GT Electronics Control Pack requires custom calibration ensuring smooth performance driving experience.

Its 5.2L displacement and 12:1 compression ratio provide enough power for all applications, while hard-anodized forged pistons with Grafal low friction coating and premium Manley H-beam connecting rods offer unsurpassed strength and reliability. Specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with 2015-2017 Mustang GT electronics, this engine comes complete with Ford Performance blue coil covers featuring Aluminator badging.

Ford Performance Aluminator 5.2 Crate Engine utilizes all the same advancements found in its counterpart 5.0L Gen 2 Mustang Coyote V8, such as its plasma transferred wire spray aluminum engine block with reinforced ringless oil pan which supports high-pressure injectors and high output fuel pump. Furthermore, this engine features a forged steel oil pump gear as well as factory 10-quart composite pan to maximize durability – and CARB emissions compliance!

Ford Performance Aluminator cylinder heads were specifically developed for larger bore sizes and improved flow characteristics, providing more power output with reduced friction levels. Their Gen 3 Coyote counterparts underwent rigorous testing; valves have been redesigned, cam lobes modified for forced induction capabilities, four valve-per-cylinder aluminum heads fitted with roller finger followers to reduce friction levels further.

This short block is precision internally balanced and assembled by hand using premium aftermarket parts for optimal fit and finish. Additionally, it includes Ford Performance’s Aluminator ported intake manifold, water pump and Gen 3 Coyote front drive for perfect operation – simply tune to perfection and go!

Aluminator 5.2 XS

Ford Performance’s Aluminator 5.2 XS engine produces 580 horsepower. Based on the same technology and hardware found in Shelby GT350’s engine, including a cross-plane crankshaft with 12.0:1 compression ratio and high-flow CNC-ported GT350 heads, each Aluminator XS is hand assembled at Ford Performance Assembly Solutions in Livonia Michigan by experts familiar with Cobra Jet drag racing engine construction – only premium aftermarket parts are used to ensure durability of performance.

The Aluminator XS short block utilizes a lightweight plasma transferred wire-arc spray aluminum alloy that’s stronger than Gen-2 Coyote cast iron, as well as billet steel oil pump gear, billet-steel oil pan, Ford Performance-branded oil pan and Ford’s factory OE 9.5-quart capacity oil pan to save 20 percent over stock factory cast iron units without losing capacity or performance. Furthermore, its Ford Performance exhaust manifold and camshafts deliver optimal flow and drivability under stock conditions for optimal flow and drivability under stock conditions.

In addition to high-performance cams, the Aluminator XS features Ford Performance forged connecting rods equipped with ARP 2000 rod bolts, Mahle 12:1 forged pistons that feature hard anodizing for improved strength, as well as Grafal low friction coating and hard anodization, plus it comes in both stock-ratio or high rpm (9.5:1) options.

Gen-R-style oil pans provide increased efficiency in Gen-3 Coyotes. Their weight has been drastically reduced thanks to an integrated pickup and windage tray which reduces overall weight by about 20%; their oil pump also offers higher capacity so as to guarantee optimal engine lubrication performance.

While the Aluminator XS already packs plenty of power on its own, adding aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger modifications can increase it even further. Utilizing cams similar to that found in Voodoo V8, but tailored specifically for Coyote firing order means it makes for an excellent addition for any build.

The Aluminator XS engine can be easily installed into 2018 or later Mustang GTs using their factory harness and computer, but upgrades to ancillaries, front drive, ancillary components and tuning must also take place to match its power levels. Tuning of any crate engine may also be required for optimal results.

Aluminator 5.0 NA

Are You Searching for an Engine Upgrade for Your Mustang GT? Look no further. Ford Performance offers its Gen 4 Aluminator Crate Motor as the answer – featuring its Coyote Power Module which pairs its Mustang 5.0-liter V8 engine with state-of-the-art 10 speed automatic transmission and all required electronics for operation.

The NA version of the Aluminator features upgraded factory-style pistons and rods designed specifically to support high-performance applications. Mahle 12.0:1 compression ratio forged pistons feature hard anodization with Grafal low friction coating while premium Manley H-beam connecting rods are fitted with ARP 2000 bolts; as well as four valves per cylinder aluminum heads featuring roller-finger followers to reduce friction further.

As with other Ford Performance Coyote engines, the Aluminator 5.0 NA uses a lightweight plasma transferred wire arc spray aluminum engine block. Though more expensive than its stock Gen 3 counterpart, its unique spray pattern offers superior cooling and seal performance; plus, special alloy strengthens cast iron main bearing caps more effectively.

As with other Ford Performance crate engines, the Aluminator 5.0 is hand assembled from premium parts and hand-dyno tested for consistency and accuracy. Each Aluminator also includes a forged steel crankshaft sprocket, billet oil pump gears, Cobra Jet short runner-high RPM intake manifold and 1517 CFM dual 65mm Ford Mustang GT throttle body to complete its impressive package.

Performance Assembly Solutions in Michigan ensures the consistent quality of Aluminator crate engines by using state-of-the-art computerized torque and accountability tools to guarantee that each engine meets specifications.

Another excellent feature of the Aluminator 5.0 is that it doesn’t include camshafts or vehicle harnesses – leaving you to provide those yourself. Furthermore, PCM and alternators will need to be installed. However, if you plan on running high boost, consider upgrading to the optional SC Aluminator (P/N M-6007-A50SCB). It uses the same base configuration but features high rpm camshafts as well as smaller domes that provide for greater compression ratio and are better equipped to manage boosted applications.
